⁣⁣
Some of you may have already begun working on your New Year’s Resolutions and some of you maybe have no ideas at all or still thinking about it. Why not make one of your 2022’s resolutions improving your dental health? 🦷⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
With time, these positive changes will turn into habits and lastly can become permanent fixtures in your behavior and routine.⁣⁣⁣

You have the power to make incredible changes in your life with your choices, and your dental health is no exception. By practising your oral care routine, give up bad habits, and making healthier dietary choices, you’ll be making a huge impact on your long-term dental health before you know it.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Helpful tips from us 😉 : Consistency is the key when it comes to establishing new habits. Resolutions are not meant for “New Year” only! Be discipline and work on it consistently every day! 💪

1. Power Up Your Habits

  • Brush for full 2 minutes twice a day
  • Hold your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle to gum line & clean each surface of the teeth
  • Clean thoroughly once everyday using floss, flossing device or interdental brush
  • Rinse with water after each meal
  • Change your toothbrush every 3 months

2. Practise Healthier Dietary

  • Reduce consumption on sugary & acidic food & drinks like soda, pure lemon juice
  • Eat plenty of fruits & vegetables (apples, carrots help clean plaque from teeth)
  • Reduce intake of alcohol
  • Quit smoking

3. Schedule Routine Dental Visits

  • Advise to visit your dentist for regular check-up (twice a year or every 6 months)
  • It’s now to commit to overdue dental treatments, save your teeth when you still can!
  • A small cost of maintenance and regular visits upfront will help prevent issues that can be far more expensive in the long run

4. Remember to SMILE always!

Your smile is one of the most identifiable things about you, so always show off your beautiful smile to others! You may not know that your smile actually brightens up others!
