Scaling Teeth
Scaling teeth is a procedure of removing plaque and calculus. The purpose of removing the plaque and calculus is because they are accumulation of bacteria which can cause severe periodontal disease ultimately resulting in tooth loose.
Teeth Filling
A tooth filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material. By closing off spaces where bacteria can enter, a filling also helps prevent further decay.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is needed when they decay had extended into the centre of the tooth which is where the nerves located at. The bacteria will infect the whole root and cause severe pain.
The procedure is to remove, clean and fill the root canal to relieve the pain and prevent further infections. Multiple visits are needed for root canal treatment.
